Legun
Davin “Legun” Coriz is a self-taught artist and musician with a deep passion for drawing, painting, and producing music. Specializing in airbrush portraits, Legun’s work has reached international audiences, including commissions as far as Australia. His creative journey is enriched by his Native American heritage, hailing from the pueblos of Kewa, Oke Owingeh, and Picuris, which uniquely influences his artistic expression.
In addition to his visual art, Legun is an accomplished musician, producing beats, writing poetry, and performing his music. He is dedicated to sharing his skills through teaching creative workshops and is constantly learning new techniques to enhance his craft.
Legun has been included in the art exhibition titled “Street Art and Activism,” through the Museum of International Folk Art; which showcased work from himself and others around Santa fe, as well as a group from Peru called Amapolay, who also use their crafts to bring change to their community.
One of Legun’s significant goals is to contribute to his community through public art installations, such as murals, with aspirations to bring more of his vibrant work to life around his city. His commitment to his art and his community makes him a distinctive and inspiring figure in the creative world.
